A Course in Miracles with Donna Matera - Tuesdays, 9/17 - 10/15

A Course in Miracles with Donna Matera

Tuesdays, September 17 - October 15

7 - 8:30 PM

To change ourselves, we must first change our perspective on the philosophy of miracles and awareness. The book and curriculum for A Course in Miracles (ACIM), which was developed by Helen Schucman in the 1970s, is centered around the belief that the greatest “miracle” is the act of simply gaining an awareness of love’s presence in one’s life.

Since the moment we are born we are processing information, building strategies and mental programs that protect our egos and our emotional selves. Although many of us know this, the reality of doing it is difficult. You can’t change your programming with the same mind that created it!

ACIM teaches you how to break the patterns and open up your mind to a whole new reality. It teaches you how to take responsibility for what you have in your life because only from awareness can you change and attract wellness, fulfilling relationships and joy in all aspects of your life.

Join Donna Matera, Reiki Master, an ACIM student and teacher, as she leads a discussion based on the principles of this book. As a spiritual healer, she brings a depth to these teachings that only an enlightened master can bring.

Equinoxes are the days when we have equal amounts of light and darkness. They are all about balance, giving us the perfect opportunity to focus on mind, body and spirit.

Come to this labyrinth workshop in preparation for the fall equinox and experience a gentle walking meditation by following the path of equal left and right turns to the still point of balance in the center, and back out again.

Pryority and Grounded Meditation are pleased to welcome Helen Curry back to facilitate this workshop.

  • Detox tea

  • A Detox Kit, which includes a body brush and tongue scraper

  • One 30 min Ayurvedic Massage (Marma point therapy, which quiets the mind and encourages deep relaxation)

  • Ears Seeds, which are applied on the back of the ears like a little bandage.  Ear seeds are applied to control cravings and support detoxification

Over the course of three days, you will nourish and purify your body with healthy food from Greens on the Go, you'll prepare your mind and spirit to eliminate and refresh at the same time.

Our hotel is located in the heart of the quaint village - so we'll be able to walk to many of our destinations. Each room has a king size bed and a fireplace so that you can rest well after the day's planned activities are through.

This is a custom designed getaway for our group, which includes the expertise of local historians and national park guides, wine education from local vintners, and top-notch cuisine from acclaimed chefs. It will be an unforgettable, one-of-kind experience.

Here's a look at some of the activities we have planned:

Thursday, October 24:

Upon arrival at San Jose Airport, take a scenic drive down the famous 17-mile coast passing through Pebble Beach before arriving in Carmel mid-afternoon.

Enjoy a skillfully selected wine and food pairing experience at Mission Ranch in Carmel. We'll dine al fresco on the patio while watching the sun set on the beach.

Friday, October 25:

Greet the day with meditation on the beach, followed by a guided walking tour of Carmel. This town is known for its charm, glorious views, boutique shops, and its exquisite cuisine.

After lunch, we'll spend some time at the thermal pools at Refuge Spa. Should you like to have a massage at the spa, arrangements can be made (not included in the getaway cost). Friday evening we meet for another very special dinner.

Saturday, October 26:

Take in the glorious scenery during a private tour and hike of Point Lobos, the gem of California State Parks and a point of historical interest.

The adventure continues on our private coach to explore a Carmel valley boutique winery, where we will enjoy a fabulous lunch complete with wine pairings. There will be time for exploration of the valley area - check out the local crafts, olive oil, and other vineyards. Back in Carmel-by-the-Sea for the evening, we'll have another incredible dining experience.

Sunday, October 27:

Sunday is our spiritual day in Big Sur. This destination's vast mountainous coastline has drawn those in search of emotional, physical and spiritual healing for centuries. Accompanied by a local guide, we'll walk the forests and hike the lesser known trails surrounded by the incredible mountains, water and sky. Back in Carmel-by-the-Sea, our evening will be capped off with a final meal customized for our group by Chef Kurt Grasings.

Monday, October 28:

Prepare to return back to regular life, equipped with a renewed spirit and invigorated mind and body. Ahead of breakfast, we will begin our day with our last guided beach walk, meditation and stretch. We will be picked up at the hotel and be transported back to the airport.

Massage is Therapy

Work out the kinks in mind and body. There's a reason it's called Therapy!

Massage Therapy is one of the oldest healing arts and an ideal form of self-care.

It’s proven effective for the treatment of chronic conditions such as stress, fatigue, depression, high blood pressure and arthritis; massage also treats acute conditions such as sports injury and tight muscles.

Our licensed massage experts are well versed in a variety of philosophies, including deep tissue, thai, prenatal, reflexology, and Ayurvedic massage such as Abhyanga and Marma (and coming soon Shirodhara).
