Nancy has experienced first hand how Pilates can change a person's life. In November of 2005, she ruptured her left Achilles tendon while playing paddle tennis. She spent eight weeks in a cast and the only thing she could do was get on the floor and do Pilates. Through true dedication to Pilates for those eight weeks, she gained enormous core strength, which helped her through the rigors of Physical Therapy. By May 1st, 2006, she was hitting balls on the tennis court. After a full recovery, she decided to get certified in Pilates and in 2009 became an instructor.
Nancy believes that Pilates teaches people of all ages how to move their bodies in a more efficient way. By incorporating Pilates into an exercise program, one can alleviate physical issues such as back pain, shoulder problems, postural issues and joint pain. Pilates is as much for children and teens as it is for adults. Nancy has trained the Piranha's Swim Team at the Darien YMCA and has helped teens understand how to use their core strength in all of their sports.

She worked on Wall Street for 10 years until her first son was born and then became a stay at home mom living in CT. Nancy has been an avid exerciser all her life enjoying field hockey, tennis, aerobics, running, swimming and Pilates. After the birth of her third child, she began practicing Pilates. Her first experience in mat Pilates was at the Darien Arts Center with 3 people in the class. Since then, she has been an avid believer in the Pilates method of movement. Currently she lives in Darien with her husband, 3 boys and a dog. In her free time, she loves to run, play tennis and read a good book on a white sandy beach.
